Our Story: Finding the Tempo

I’m Ed Donaher, a home cook that loves heritage cooking. My kitchen has always been a place where two different speeds of life collide. Growing up in a household with deep Italian roots, I learned early on that food is the ultimate language of soul—but I also learned that the modern world doesn’t always give us six hours to let a sauce “speak.”

The Pasta Tempo was born out of that tension. I’m a home cook who deeply respects the Sunday Simmer—the heirloom recipes, the slow-rendered meats, and the patience my grandfather taught me. But I’m also a realist with a very busy calendar. I know that on a Tuesday night at 6:00 PM, you need a Monday Speed solution that doesn’t taste like a compromise.

My mission is to help you master the “Heritage Hack.” Whether I’m searching for the perfect bottle of Sangiovese or perfecting a 30-minute classic, I’m here to show you that you can honor your culinary heritage without being a slave to the stove.

Pull up a chair, find your tempo, and let’s get cooking.
